Her interest in sustainable design lead her to become a LEED Accredited Professional with a Building Design and Construction specialty. She has provided mechanical engineering design, review, studies and inspections for hundreds of projects in more than 50 communities across the three northern territories. She volunteers with many organizations including the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the NWT and Nunavut (NAPEG) and is a past president of the NWT Biomass Energy Association. Elaine is passionate about improving the sustainability of our built environment throughout the north.
